Our powerful, performance-oriented and reliable hotel booking engine makes us the leader in online hotel booking technology worldwide. WCT features two types of hotel inventory that you can present in a format that reflects your private brand identity: GDS hotels and Hot Rate Hotels.
GDS (global distribution system) hotel inventories from Pegasus and Sabre allow us to offer comprehensive global coverage and the widest variety of properties. The content from these two systems consists of the same inventory and rates accessed by travel agents worldwide. With standard GDS bookings, the customer pays at time of checkout, rather than in advance. WCT earns a commission from the hotels, which we collect after the guest checks out.
Hot Rate Hotels are the second type of hotel inventory available in our booking engine. These bookings are paid for in advance, and the commissions are delivered faster to you than GDS bookings. Thousands of hotels from our extensive proprietary room inventory management system were added to our parent company Travelocity's vast net rate hotel inventory to make up a total of over 12,000+ Hot Rate Hotels.
These online reservation systems interface with WCT's hotel booking engine to provide your customers with room availability, discount pricing, hotel policies and instant online reservation capability. Simultaneously drawing from multiple inventory databases achieves true redundancy, meaning that our database always has a backup, resulting in maximum performance. The use of both Hot Rate and GDS hotels ensures optimal choice and flexibility as well as the best rates for your customers.
